Receive Cash Reimbursement

Get cash reimbursement for meals and snacks served in your child care home! If you are a Child Care Provider caring for children in your home, you may be eligible to participate with the Child & Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). There is no cost to participate. In fact, those who join ACD receive the following benefits FREE.

You may be reimbursed for serving two meals and one snack or one meal and two snacks, per child, per day. The USDA sets the reimbursement rates.

Online Training at Home

For $10 per 2-credit class, you can earn training credits on your computer by using your e-mail address, a password of your choosing, and our agency identification code: ACD. Anyone can take these courses. Simply enter the following address into your web browser: http://www.childcaretrainingtogo.com. Credits have been state-approved for providers in Michigan and Illinois.

 

Online Claiming

Online claiming for CACFP reimbursement is now available at no cost. This program eliminates handwriting menus and decreases the amount of paper that you handle daily. Este programa esta disponible en Español.

 

Nutrition Newsletter

A free copy of our newsletter, Potpourri, is mailed to the homes of ACD-sponsored Providers every month. It contains recipes, activities for children, ideas from other Providers, information about nutrition, lists of great children’s books, recommended resources, and much more.

 

Training Workshops / Conferences

ACD offers continuous Provider training on a one-on-one or group setting focusing on topics including proper record-keeping practices, state and federal CACFP requirements, nutrition, child development, to all Providers under our sponsorship. A certificate of training credit hours is given for any training completed.

Free Prescription Card

GET THE MEDICINE (GTM) is a free prescription drug discount card that can be used in the event that an individual has no insurance or the insurance plan fails to cover a particular prescription. It is available to individuals and families associated with ACD.
